this guy down the road has a 69 z28 for sale body is extremely straight, so is interior, he's asking $11,000. Its got a 427/+-500 hp. M21 trans, is that a good buy?

It would be if it was a real Z28 but I have my doubts. A "clone" is okay as long as you don't buy it under false pretenses. I personally have a "clone" and I love it as I am not worried about keeping it original. Check out this site more and it will help distinguish what it is.

If it still has the 12 bolt and the trans is the # matching not a bad deal. It will cost you around 4,000 to get a correct 302. The value in these cars are in the correct parts for the car very expensive if they are not thier when you buy it

If it's a real Z28 with the original transmission and rear end I would say it's a good deal even if it doesn't have the correct DZ302 because the 427 is worth good money. Good luck...
