Tiger,
The info that i have been able to find on your engine looks very good. The intake manifold is a service replacement holley high rise for the 1970 LT-1. The heads are 1969-1972 service only???(i'm not sure what that means) heads with 2.02 and 1.60 valves with a 64cc chamber. The casting numbers on the rear of the block 3970010 mean that the motor is a 350 4-bolt main motor. I was unfortionatly unable to decode the front pad on the engine. So I'm not sure what the engine is from. You should take another look at the pad and see if some letters or numbers were over looked. If the motor is an LT-1 it will probibly have a group of three letters on the pad starting with C. Does the motor have a solid or hydrolic lifter cam? E-mail me and tell me at (streetracer_65@hotmail.com). <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by tiger: can you shed some light on these numbers. please, block 3970010 G84, 4 bolt on the front tag is stamped oe 4332 23 , ? what is it from. pistons forged pop ups , 3959456 heads 3991492 a245 ( 492) angle plug inlet manifold 3972116 holley 4777 with either 8539 or 8639 on it it was a hole working motor with steel crank is it LTI stuff. Could be that the "OE" is really "CE" and the entire engine is a service replacement.
