Question

I can pick up a 400 small block for $200, i plan on selling it.... can i get more than 200 for it? I live in Idaho, so anything gm is pricy, i'm hoping this will work in my favor. thanks for any input.

as with anything- it depends. if it is really a 400 and is all there, that would be a good price. there is a guy a few miles from here that has a whole pile of 400 blocks and cranks, and he wants 75 bucks for a block and crank.i was going to get one or 2, but got my 94 LT1 caprice parts car.i am going modern tech.

I just bought a virgin bore 2 bolt 400 shortblock for $200. I doubt you would get much more than that for it. 400's are harder to find, but I think less people look for them.

In my area, that is a pretty good deal, especially if it is standard bore. Dirt trackers love 400 small blocks and will pay accordingly.
