I want to build a 383 for my 89 Iroc Camaro. I don't want to spend to much but than again I don't want to cut corners. I want to get the most performance and try not to have to much of a gas gussler as it will be my daily driver during the summer. So if you can help me with products like heads, intake, pistons, cams etc. It would be great.

vortech heads are good cheap heads, but that will need new springs if you get too wild with a cam. since you have an 89 i will assume you have roller lifters? that too will gain you some ponies. if you want mileage a 383 might not be the best idea. also if you want to make mondo juice you will need some searious work done on the rear axle, and probably a pro built tranny(unless you already have a 12 bolt and a tough tranny) i hope this helps
