I though it would be nice to add power steering to my 69 during restoration. The car has a 350 engine. I bought the pump, lines and steering gear box. Now my old Hooker headers will not bolt on due to hitting the steering box. Any ideas?

If you want to keep the PS unit and have headers, you will need to buy new headers. I've got a PS equiped 67, with a 383 and run Hooker Super Comps and they fit....but it is real, real tight.
Make sure any headers you procure are compatible with the PS unit. Search this site, especially Engine & Drivetrain forum, for info. Mark M. |
