I bought this subframe and was told it was for a 69. It seems to measure out ok but the rad support holes are small(about 7/8" i diameter). Does anyone know the explanation?
Apparently these holes should be about 1.25 inches. The solid bushings i got from globaltech won't fit in the holes and the guy there says i may have a 70's subframe.
Like i said it seems to measure out ok(am taking it off this weekend to measure properly).

Do you have an assembly manual for the '69? Check to see if you're trying to put it together right.

On the '68, the bushing does NOT go into the hole in the frame, but into radiator core support.

Gotcha , but what about the slop in the 7/8" hole where the bolt goes through the subframe? Is that for adjustment?

I believe so...

I bought the bushing & hardware set, and then looked at a couple of different pages in the assembly manual to put mine back together (it really had some screwy setup from whoever "restored" it before).

The oversize hole in the subframe is designed that way for adjustment; fore-aft for fender-to-door fit, cross-car to be able to create a square hood opening.
