With out more info, tire size, trans, and how much and where you drive it,will have a lot to do with what you need.A 355 to 373 gear with around a 2200 to 2500 stall is usually a good all around set up for a street car with a moderately sized cam.

that is a pretty manly camshaft. What does the manufacturer suggest as far as a converter? I would guess it is around 3000rpm stall speed or more. As far as gears, again with that cam you are probably going to want to run some lower (numerically higher) gears. 4.11s would be nice, but a pain if you ever want to take it on the highway without an overdrive trans.

4000 stall 3.89 gear, and if you want the overdrive go with the 4L60, or 4L80

My dad has a really close setup to what your explaining and he runs a 4000 stall and a 4.56 gear with 28" tires and it does fine on the street and it rips on the track.

ryanman250, have any idea what your dad's car turns rpm wise through the lights? I'm running a similar setup, but with 29" tires. I turn about 6300 @ 115.

I called him and asked and he said about 6400 to 6450 but he said he just put a set of 29" tires and it now turns about 6250 to 6300. He can also cruise at 55 mph and it turns about 3000 rpm's with the 28" tires.

28" tires = 10.12's at 116
29" tires = 10.08 at 119
