I recently sold an IROC-Z steering box to a first-generation Camaro owner; it's a 1967 that originally had power steering. He states that there is no hydraulic pressure, and there is a pressure leak from the stub shaft seal, where the rag joint connects to.

Any help is suggested; my e-mail server has been flooded since this morning.

Sounds like he has the hoses on wrong. The pressure hose connects to the engine side port on the box.
He needs to use the O ring type PS hoses or there will be leaks.
Please post this type question in the Brakes and Suspension section and not here.
