Greg, can i use an aftermarket wiring harness just to run the motor to the computer? Do you know anything about the lt4 hot cam kit. Would I get more horses with an lt4 intake as well? Thanks

(it's LT1 not lt-1 LOL)
the lt4 intake is for lt4 heads which feature a slightly different intake port shape
gmpp has a carb intake if that matters
aftermarket wiring kits are simpler
corvette accessory bracket fits older cars better
94 and newer use a computer controlled auto trans
92 and 93 are speed density, 94-97 are mass air flow as well as sequential firing instead of batch firing
96+ are odb2 (4 O2 sensors) and are far more sensitive to throwing codes
d shaped exhaust ports - plenty of header choices, most of which I think would work in older car w/ custom y-pipe or true duals
the iron b-body heads actually flow better
95+ use a longer dowel off the cam to drive the opti
I'm sure I'll think of more little things to toss out later
plenty of lt1 swaps going on, great motor, with the unfortunate drawback of a unique block

'94 Z28 (Pepe) - stock heads/cam and 3.23 gears - 12.44 @ 106+ 1.68 sixty, all motor (Jan '03 GM High Tech Peformance cover car)
a few other toys

FirstgenLT1 here is a link to my webpage documenting build up of a 1969 Camaro convertible with and massively massaged 94 LT1. I will also include a couple of links from discussions on camaros.net and pro-touring.com that relate to this car. Good luck with your project and post some pics.
