This might be a stupid question. My car (see Sign. below) has A/C, but is not working. would I gain/loose anything by removing the belt to the compressor? If there was a HP gain, how much?

thanks
Scott

I once broke the fan belt on my 327/210 and could easily feel the difference, too bad i had to replace it! Don't know if loosing the AC belt would bring the same, but i do know that some will remove the belt for better gas mileage when it isn't that hot and they can do without AC. So you would defenitely see some gain by removing the belt.
