The air cleaner lid on my 69 LM1 was chrome at one time. I was going to get it refinished. The valve covers that were on the engine were just the plain no script orange ones. Originally if my car had a chrome air cleaner lid would it have had chrome valve covers? If so, what would they look like? Would they be regular no script chrome or?

They should be painted steel just like an L48.

'67 was the last year for "Chevrolet" script covers.

So then, chrome air cleaner lid and painted no script valve covers is correct?
