Hello I have a 89 camaro rs! I had the car for one day it was fine the day I brought it home but went to get in the day after and now nada! I replaced the starter but that isnt it! If you have any Ideas please Let me know I will be grateful Thanks

Linda, please give us some more info. do the lights come on? starter spins or not? do you hear clicks from the starter? engine spins but not firing? which? Then we can help.

The lights and radio come on! I got a new starter and there is a new battery! It does nothing like there is no battery in it!

If everything works, but engine won't crank, you could have a "Pass Key" problem.

That pellet on your key. Could be the wires from the ignition lock cylinder are broken...very common. They are very small (2).

Not really hard to change (the steering wheel must come off).

Check your connections at the battary and the other end that should attache to the alternator bracket. What year is it? There is also a fusable link that comes off the starter to your ignition on some 70's ~ 80's vehicles. Looks like a regular wire, if there is any swelling that you can feel in the casing of the wire it should be replaced.
Have your battary checked, it might be new but just because its new doesnt mean that its good. Also if your voltage is low on the battary your lights will come on but not have enough juice to turn your motor over. If its less than 12.5 volts have it charged. If its less than 12 but still checks out good from the test, your alternator is suspect have it checked.
Usually its nothing more than a bad connection either at the battary, the starter or you battery ground to the motor.
Just a few ideas.

Thanks I will check out anything Like I said I had it for one day SO I am excited to get it going! I have heard about the fuseable link a lot over the past few days. It is a 89

Check your neutral safety switch. If it's bad, car won't crank.

Check the cables…. My 88 did the same thing. Turned out to be the NEG. cable. What I did to prove it was to use a pair of jumper cables and went from GND at the battery to a GOOD GND on the motor. Car fired right up.
