Jim, great looking project! I was not able to view the last pictures. Is it complete? (Are they ever)? What is gold color in the brake picture? Is the metel portion of the pads gold color? Is that correct? I'm just about to that point on mine, so curious. John

Thanks Guys. It's nice to get compliments from the guys in the hobby. So far all I have got is comments from non car people which are mostly "How much did all this cost"

This is a Fast Burn 385 crate 350 right out of the crate. Steel crank PM rods fast burn heads. I added the Hot cam 1.6 roller rockers, the Holley 0-80508S carb with a conversion to a rear metering block instead of the plate, an aluminum water pump, and a GM mini starter. If you want all of the part numbers, I'll get them for you. IMO you can't beat the crate motors for cost and horsepower. And you get a warranty (parts only)To build a custom engine like this would cost considerably more. I have installed a few of these engines for friends. If you zero deck one of these, clean up the heads a little and run a double pumper, you can get about 460 HP out of it!
