I am wondering about the vacuum ports on the headlight switch. Which one connects to the vacuum switch on the vacuum tank, the port towards the front of the car or the one towards the rear of the car? I realize the other port will then connect to the tank itself. I'm just concerned that the headlamp switch was designed to have vacuum flow in one direction and swapping it might screw up the new switch. Thank you
Todd

Just guessing that 68 and 69 are the same, the hose from vacuum source, goes to the port closest to the driver, The port close to the firewall goes to the tank. I found the diagram in my 69 Assembly manual. If you dont have one, Id suggest buying one, its very good with details such as this. Good luck.

There is a differance in the ports. There used to be a post on this but I cannot find it. If memory serves in one position the switch makes a connection between the two hoses. In the other position the switch dis-connects the hoses, plugs the engine side, and the other side is open to atmosphere. You may want to confirm with a bench test.

Thanks for your help guys. I figured it out. The tank hose goes to rear port on switch. Also the top port of the relay(R) has to connect to the back of the actuators and the bottom port(G) has to connect to the front of the actuators. The new hose kit diagram is wrong. It tells you to direct (R) to the front. The result is the doors won,t close. After checking each part individually, then studying the vacuum path and process, I drew up my own diagram, tested it, and I'm feeling pretty good because the doors work perfectly with 14" of vacuum.
