Ya know, I just noticed something...I was looking at the exhaust pipes sticking up from under the doors and I couldn't help but wonder how does the owner manage to open them (the doors) without causing any damage.

All that work and it's got a 3 point roll bar. What can you run legally at a track with that 10.99? It a 3 point bar even recognized by NHRA, or IHRA as a roll bar, in which case you can't run it quicker than 12.99?

I like that one. An older race car from a real RS/SS. The three point bar would have to go. Body sure is nice. For the right price that could be the next project. This car is located close to me to boot. I can't go look at it..I better not go look at it...

Why does it look like there's a rubber snubber on the rear of the traction bar?
Must be an old style traction device.
Wish I could find a set of those skinny slots up front. I'm running slots on mine but can't find any fronts that skinny.

This guy's into porsches anyway. What do you think the reserve is?

I'm with Jackr, just remove the lettering change rims and tires unbolt a few things and "Thunder" is tamed and ready to go.

So Jack, pick you up around noon today to go look at it? Maybe we could talk the guy into taking it around the block, although they do have photo radar in Scottsdale!!

Ok !! Lets go. Wonder what the reserve is ? That was a deluxe interior car too. I doubt the 3000 miles. There are speaker bolts hanging from the rear package tray. Car is real clean otherwise.
We can offer to buy the race fuel for the test drive. It's at a dealer so ? Maybe we can get him to follow us to Speedworld for a 1/4 mi test.
Photo radar in Scottsdale...been there done that x 2.

It looks good. I just can't see ruining a real RS/SS.

i dunno, the car has a cool nostalgia look to it, but looking at it i seriously doubt that things ever been down the 1320. it appears to be a pretty bad attemp at a 70's "pro street" trailer queen, imo.
the tech guys would have a heyday with the "rollbar", it would be legal to about 12.0, or what a car without a rollbar would be. not to mention the curious suspension and rubber fuel line everywhere, thats a particular beef with any tech.
there is no way to be sure, but i also doubt the 650 horse claim of the motor, with a 90 thou overbore?
sorry if a sound harsh, it is a cool car, i love the nostalgia look, and it also appears to be an original AC car as well. it just drives me crazy when somebody builds a car that is really no good on the street, or the track. hopefully it goes to a good home where it can come to terms with its split personality issues

I guess with a little work and a few modifications, it can be made to drive either way (street or track). If I had the funds to spare, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat
