i have a 4spd that i was told is for my 69 it has a cast case and 9 bolts that hold the cover on

Any numbers cast into the side of it. Post all numbers and we'll see what you got.

Are all the shift levers in the side cover? If so it's a Saginaw.

It just dawned on me if it has 9bolts it some sort of a Borg. Warner trans. It didn't come out of a Camaro originally.

the levers dont go through a cover the only cover is located on the top of the tranny...i counted the teeth on the gears inside for the front and it had the same numbers as a muncie but i dont know here are the #s i found
2603435 g2578 under the shift levers and 2603734 on the tail shaft housing |

It sure is a top loader. At one time it was a farely common swap before the ST10 came out but you don't see many in Chevs anymore.
