Unhappy

I have a 68 RS with 327 and manual 3 speed. When i bought it it ran good for about a week. Then the clutch went to the floor and never came back up. My pivot ball block side kept breaking and or falling out of the block many times. What do you recommend to fix this. I already welded a bracket to make it stronger and it ripped it apart. It only seems to do this when i ease off the clutch. Then you would feel a sudden force pushing back at your foot and then nothing... pedel travels back the floor freely and no shifty. I just had the tranny built since then but now i need new linkage to replace all the broken and missing parts. What would you guys suggest to fix this and or make it stronger and smoother. And where can i find these parts.

Cool

Either the pressure plate is too strong for the linkage or the trans input shaft bearing sleeve is worn and has a ridge on it thus, catching the throwout bearing. Previous owner(s) may have installed too stiff of a clutch, not OE.

Dealer will still have the parts, try Bay Chev since they're in Norfolk.

oh and the pressure plate and flywheel was warped and no clutch left. Fixed that but still want a better linksage to make sure.

Are you sure you don't have a broken driver's side motor mount? It can play havoc with clutch linkage.
