Hi,I'm in the process of installing a 16" 2700 cfm electric puller fan on my radiator, and wanted to know if there is any benefit to reusing the fan shroud? Thanks in advance, John.

yes you need a shroud it helps pull air over the entire rad instead of just where the fan is

I agree with jbird, a fan shroud will help. Although you may find that it will work for you even without it.

I took my shroud off when I started using an electric fan and it cooled perfectly without it.

If you don't want to use your shroud, check your temp and then put it back and see if it improves.

Good luck.
