They block the airflow around the ends of the core support to force more air through the radiator opening. They were installed in Camaros made after June 12th 1968. By your screen name I will assume your looking for a set for A CONVERTIBLE. They bolt to the Cocktail shakers and wedge against the inside surface of the fenders. The convertible ones are diffent than coues and are extremely rare. There is a set for a coupe on Ebay right now. Coupe ones will not fit a convertible. The only place you will find them is in someones car. They are not reproduced and only very rarely show up on Ebay, or in the for sale section of sites like this. These pieces will run you more than a complete heater delete plate set should you find a set. If you do find a set make sure they have the rubber material on the outer edges. That's not reproduced either.

Hey Mark I have a set plus one (let's call the one an orphan). Something I could never figure is the set are right and left sides and look really similar. The pointed part on the bottom of the baffle as shown in the 68 assembly manual is not part of these baffles. The orphan baffle is a right and is shaped more similar to the one in the assembly manual (with the point on the bottom). What makes it stranger is the rubber pieces on the set is cut to be shaped exactly like the the orphan. In other words, when I install the rubber on the set and the rubber on the orphan, they look exactly the same. I've never understood this. I hope this makes sense. Also, what is the Ebay Item number so I can see what is being described.

Heres the link, took me a while to find it again:

These are for a coupe, you can easily identify them by the X shaped stiffener and that they are rather flat. They will not work in a convertible. Convertible ones have two parallel stiffeners, and are curved to fit around the cocktail shakers.
