I have a 68 camaro without AC. I ordered a seal kit for my heater box and can't figure out where all the seals go. One is for the main door flap and the other for for the box to core seal. the thrd one goes on the piping for the heater core. There are 5 more seals and that do not appear to go to anything. Has anyone else encountered this?

I have not been able to locate info on the heater box seals. Does anyone have any sources where I can locate the location of the seals. I'm guessing my old seals rotted away

From memory, seeing as how it's been a couple of months since I installed the kit:

- Two matching seals for each of the vents at the top of the Y-shaped defroster duct, at the base of the windshield just under the dash.

- Another seal for the base of the Y-shaped defroster duct, where it mates to the air distribution plenum just behind where your radio is.

- Another one to line the defroster flap itself, which requires disassembling the flap from the heater box by knocking out the pin where your defrost control cable connects to.

- There are also seals for two other flaps inside the heater box, the large one near the heater core which you can reach from the heater core opening. There is a second flap midway to the defrost duct which is impossible (in my experience) to reach. I tried knocking out the pin but ended up damaging the flap and having to find a new heater box.

Hope this helps.
