Hello Everyone,
I am getting ready to put the factory A/C back on my '69 (after hunting for hoses for 15 years). I was wondering if anyone has tried some of the R12 "direct replacement" products. Specifically, products called Freeze12 or Enviro-Safe. Here is a link to their web site: autorefrigerants.com Any input would be appreciated. I'm trying to keep the stock look, with the stock POA valve. Thanks!

Will Freeze-12 work with the Desicant in the repro dryers that are designed for R-134? If not is there a way to reconstitute an original dryer? I've got an original one but if you shake it, it sounds like it just one big congealed mass of desicant.
What type of oil does Freeze-12 require Ester, or PAG? R-134 works OK, I can get 46 degree air out of the ducts on a mid 90's day, but if there is something out the that will bring it down further, I'm all for it. I've got mine all evacuated and am just waiting to get the exhaust back on before recharging it. |
