Took my radiator off the support and it has these brackets , one on each side holding the radiator to the support. Well , these brackets seem to be soldered to the radiator. One practically fell off, and the other is bonded on there pretty solid.
I have 2 questions..... How do I get it off? and how do I put them on the new radiator, that is if I need them.( unless new radiators already come with them ) |

I would think the right way to reattach it would be to braze it or solder it. I did it by grinding the mounting points to bare metal and used windshield urethane to cement it back together. Not to many things stronger than that stuff.

It was the same radiator. The bracket just came off. In the Ricks catalog they show new radiators with the brackets already installed. I would just buy a new one, $159 for a S.B.

I bought mine from rick's and it was the easiest thing I have ever replaced. The radiater lined right up to the stock location and bolted right in. I stepped it up to a 3 row and it droped my temp. by 20 to 30 deg. i cant say enouph about it. It looks stock also. |
