I have 1979 z28 with a 350 and a/c . anti freeze leaked all over the passenger floor . I need to get to the heater core. do I go in under the dash or do I come in through engine compartment. can somebody please help.

Hi there and welcome to the best site on the web.

I don't have any experience with the second gen cars in this regard, but with the first gen the heater core is kind of a pain. To get it out, the best way is to pull the front fender. As well, you'll need to drop out the glovebox and pull the thing out through the interior. Again, this is on a first gen though...

There is another forum that is specific to second gen cars that you might want to take a look at. The guy who put it together goes by the handle "mad mike" and comes by this site sometimes. A web search will probably find his page.
