I have looked in the library for a manual on this bu can't find one. How does the heater core come out on an 81 Camaro?
Thanks in advance! |

The heater core comes out from under the dash on the pass side. Its inside a box that is mounted to the firewall on the inside. You dont need to take anything off under the hood except the heater hoses and the nuts that go around the box.Everything else is done under the dash pad.You will need to take out the glove box, pass side kick panel(not the whole kick panel just the little round cover and the vac.can),the heater cables, vac lines, some plastic duct, and would recommend the console. Its not as hard as it sounds.Had mine done in about 21/2 hours. The hardest thing is remembering how everything was routed under the dash.Hope this helps.
