I just bought a 68 Camaro that came with a 6cylinder it has been converted to a v8 and the fan is a long way from shroud are they the same?

My factory 67 OHC6 Firebird dos'nt have a fan shroud and I don't think the Chev 6 has one either. Fan guard, yes.

The 6's that had a viscous fan coupling did in fact have a shroud and it is different from the small blocks. the big blocks had yet a different shroud. I think the 6's with a viscous fan were mostly the ones with air conditioning.
