I have been dying to ask this question and since there is this new forum, now is the time!

What have other convert owners been doing about a special "L" rubber flap that fits in the qtrs? It is screwed to the rear qtr brace (on body) that the top hinge is bolted to. It is molded in the shape of a "L" with metal inside it (which rusts from the inside ) It is there to keep water from flowing to rear of car when top is up.

I have not seen one repro-ed so I am treating the ones I have like gold.

But what are the ebay convert project car owners going to do about this part? I have NEVER seen them come up on Ebay or at swap meets. Pics later.

Wow. Pics will be great. Another missing part on my car! Does that make it custom?
