Paul,
The Body by Fisher 1968 Service Manual has an entire section (13) on removal and intallation of the top and/or curtain.

well after calling a bunch of parts places looking for a book on conv. top installlation & getting no help, I finally contacted classics industries, not only did they help me but the ysent me a 45 page documant on installing the toip, FREE, free free. they have my business from now on. most other places rushed me off of the phone, they got ahold oftheir tech department & were first going to fax it to me, but then realized how large a file it was, decided to overnight it to me. they definetey have a customer for life here!!!! the manual has info on instaling the top, the rtemoval of the old one, (yeah you think its is easy removing it until you do it & then say, uh oh I needed that piece, or I needed measurments from that. well its all in there. also got info on rebuilding hte pump & adjustments of the frame.

paul, also try to contact some of the auto upholstry shops in your area. you may need tack strip or advise. the shop guys near me helped me out with some questions i had. they even lent me their upholstry stretcher and air stapler not forgetting to mention the guy gave me a bunch of stainless staples.
