I don't think my car likes OC either...its never ready, and the one time I do make it the altenator took out my battery. I stopped to get gas as I was leaving OC that morning and she wouldn't kick back over, I had to pay $35 dollars for a jump

I really wish I had more money...I'll sign my soul over to you right now!!! (I'm not joking)

Everyone,

Went to OC cruise-in last night, I figured it might be the best night because of the pending rain. The new police chief is a lady and she's trying to impress. You are no longer allowed to sit on the sidewalk in chairs to watch the cars. People have to sit beyond the sidewalk in the parking lot. They also are cracking down on the spectators motioning for people to spin their tires. They gave a stern talking to a few kids in the 9-10 yr. old range. Its going to get to a point of people just not showing up. I can remember when people would just lock them up in the road for a burnout show. Overall, lots of nice rides of all types and preferences. There were probably 500 cars there already with more coming every hour. I see them on Rt. 50. I plan on going back on Sat. Afternoon to see the cars at the inlet and show mine as well. If you see me, let me know, I would enjoy meeting you.

Every year they seem to tighten the clamps. Oh well, it's still fun. There is a coastal flood watch for that area, great. The in-laws have a single family home on the barrier island with a garage , but my cousins 70 SS chevelle get's it first. at least I have somewhere comfortable to stay, no reservations needed! I'll look for the red 67 RS/SS convert, just gotta remember the name. Maybe, this fall's weather will be better. Ha!
Enjoy.

Man...They weren't cracking down on anyone Saturday afternoon, I never seen that many people doing burnouts in the streets down there...Everyone was on the sidewalk and had signs saying "Light'em up"...

Maybe the crowds just got to big to even try to control, But I seen cops standing on the same street with the guys doing burnouts. I think I even seen a couple of the cops cheer

I saw a guy get pull/stopped for just clearing out the throttle setting still in traffic.

I saw more cops in OC on Thursday and Friday than ever but Saturday was a different story. I watched an hour of burnouts near 1st street on Saturday!! Maybe OC realized how much money pours in and backed off a little.

Boy, the weather really sucked again.A couple days of fun and I'll be stuck with this sinus infection for weeks. We're due for a sunburn weekend one of these years. Now, was it me , or did it seem like Chevy out numbered all other makes combined or what! What an awesome display of vintage sheetmetal and HP. I really liked the Pro-Mod in the Hooters lot Saturday night. Blown, injected alcohol, what a sweet sound.
