Hey dude!
What day did you go? We were there on Saturday. A couple of snippets of info. The picture of the Corvette Nitro Coupe on the last page is kinda sad to see. John Edwards was killed Saturday afternoon in that car when the chute failed. The car went off the end, through the gravel and ended up in the catch net off the end. Nobody really seemed to be aware that anything had happended at the time. Read about in the paper.
On a lighter note, the 1953/2003 replica has a great story behind it. The week before in Breckenridge at the Corvette show, a lady presented her husband with that car as a 50th birthday present. Turns out he was born the same month that the very first Corvette was produced. She gave it to him at a party that was being held in Breckenridge the week before. Totally shocked him.
And how about the paint on the black '68? I stood there and looked at that paint for twenty minutes or so and I swear there is not a single flaw anywhere in it. That is the smoothest paint I have ever seen on a car. Amazing.

Thumbs up

We were there all 3 days, yeah the death of John really put a black cloud over the event.

I was parked right behind that black 68, they are nice folks.

I was lucky enough to get an editor's choice with my 70.

Congrats!
We still need to figure out when we can get together. Are you going to the Denver GrandPrix?

Cool

I won't make it to the Gran Prix, but we'll be at Goodguys in a few weeks at PPIR. I just live up the road from the track.

Ever been to the Colorado Goodguys event?

That's what I'm talking about...after showing cars for so long, it's good to be able to cruise the grounds (and the track) instead of just sitting there soaking up sun

Anyway, if you make it, look me up

We'll try to make it. I'll stay in touch and see if we can hook up.
