While putting a rear main seal in my 1969 Z28 I was looking things over (I just recently purchased it) and could tell it has TRW pistons. The engine was rebuilt and I assume TRW did not make the stock pistons for GM. Am I correct? It has the "1178" crank and I wonder if there is a way to tell if the rods are correct. I didn't see any numbers on them. I'm putting everything back together tonight and wonder if there are any tips to installing the seal to make sure it doesn't have to be done a second time. I've replaced a number of them on my Buick but the Camaro is slightly different.
Thanks,
Gary
