Question

I need to stock up on my car movies and I want to get Gone In 60 Seconds, The Fast and The Furious, American Graffiti and maybe Christine! Anyone know of any other good ones? Oh, I want to get the original Gone In 60 Seconds.

Two-lane blacktop(bad plot,no real ending, street racing and a sweet 55,the same one that Harrison Ford drove in American graffiti but a few years earlier. A must have for any chevy fan!!)

Cool

Blockbuster has the orig "Gone In Sixty Seconds".

Wait for cable/satelite to run this and tape it.

Go to E-bay and buy,

"Thunder Road", "Gum Ball Rally", "Cop and a Half"

Of course, the all-time favorite "Bullet"

Thumbs up

You can't leave out"Vanishing Point".Barry Newman also made an obscure movie"Fear is the Key"-not so much a car movie but some fabulous driving/stunts.I'm more a fan of great driving-"Smokey and the Bandit".A
really sucky movie but with some outstanding precision driving is "Ronin" (Ronan?).The europeans seem to be more into precision car control than outrageous stunts. There's an old Micheal Cane movie "The Italian Affair"with Austin mini's in the sewers of Rome (I think)-terrific driving!!

I second Ronin. Great driving.

Bullit is good. Smokey and the Bandit was on two nights ago. Nice Trans-Am.

Dare I say it - Blues Brothers 2000. Great music, good driving ( you have to see the parallel parking ) and the greatest car smashup ever.

"Aloha Bobby and Rose" seems to be a nice movie. I've never seen it, but the front of the video has a nice musclecar on it.

"LeMans" and "Grand Prix"
DON'T get "Bobby Deerfield"
For the kids, get "Herbie the love bug"
Herbie goes to Monte Carlo was shot partly at Laguna Seca, they had a whole truck load of Herbies! one did wheelies, one cornered well, one turned it's wheels sideways, a different Herbie for each trick.

Cool

Canonball Run I & II...I think they are funny and they have some cool cars. Days of Thunder is a good one.

Dazed And Confused has some great cars in it. There is a beautiful black and white 1970 Chevelle. I definitely recommend this one. Erik

Exclamation

Lok for it on TNT or TBS now and then....
"Duel" with Dennis Weaver.

Also, the "Wraith"....with Charlie Sheen.

And while it's not about cars, "Ronin" with Robert DeNiro has one of the best inner city car chase scenes since "Bullitt."
