I have recently purchased a ZL1 cast 052 block and heads. The block is polshed and missing the winters snow flake. I would like it back. I know Jerry McNeash does it , but he wants to tumble the block and put it back to original. I would like to keep it polished. Does anybody know some one who can do this type of work? ZL1 block

can you post all the numbers and marking off the block. ESP the casting date. When Yenko took over the mold for making them the Winters snowflake was removed and another mark was cast into the blocks. Also any pics of the block esp places like the front engine pad or any of the markings??

Have you seen before and after of this process? What are you going to put this motor in once your done? I personally like the way it looks now,but if your planning on making a 69 ZL1 clone I can see your point.I had a 17 foot Sutphen Jet boat back in the mid 80's with a 427 4 bolt 671 Wiend Blower and Aluminum heads and gave the Heads to a friend of mine to make them like yours in the photo. It took him forever to make them look perfect, but with chrome Hooker headers, polished 671 and aluminum heads, freaking thing looked awesome against the black lacquer paint, not to mention the HP this baby was pumping out,Tony Fiel did the motor!!
