From everything I have read, the 1969 COPO was basically a 396 vehicle that received a 427 and some some additional features. Not to sound like a total newbie, I am curious for those who do have a COPO car, which Tach was installed in the COPO? Also, dor those who have a manual trans, did they all get the M21, or did they use different manual transmissions? And lastly, the 1" swaybar, what was the standard swaybar? I think it's interesting that when you look at resellers like Classic Industries, their smallest sway bar is 1", and they also offer larger ones.
Can anyone shed some light on these for me? I'd appreciate it, because I'm starting to shop for a new vehicle, and want to be a little smarter at what I am seeing... -Ted

Ted, welcome to Team Camaro.
There is a wealth of info here along with a few other sites/publications. For your questions about COPO Camaros, you can go to copo.com and yenko.net. Both sites have a lot of COPO info. Also, you can pick up one of 'The Definitive Guide' books by Jerry Macneish that covers COPO info. His books are a great reference.

My COPO ZL1 came with a M22 and as a part of the COPO 9737 Yenko sports car conversion package it has a 13/16" sway bar . A non 9737 has a smaller sway bar. The discussion furums at www.yenko.net can probably give you more COPO info than you can absord or want to absorb.

# 27 should have had a smaller sway bar than 13/16's. I think it would have had a stock sway bar. The 13/16's was part of the Yenko package.
