I think they are a bit unreasonable in their price expectations. I can't imagine anyone paying 225K for a yenko or 95K for an RS/SS 396 Vert. that's just ridiculous.

Has anyone seen this 69 Ralley Green Yenko Camaro in person that Brian Henderson restored? So Shaugs,if Brian Henderson was a Judge at the Camaro Nationals and this car he restored came up,what would he do? I agree you can't Judge your own cars that you restore, thats just not right and fair!! Just my 2 cents....Scott,I imagine the TRUE price these cars sell at are kept private, one being the IRS would want their cut on the profits.Just my 2 cents....Dan

To 68Baldwin
The other judges, I believe they have at least 5 (in concours level) judge the car. The same would apply if a judge owned or restored the car. Its very typical for restorers to be involved in judging, because of their experience and intimate knowledge of the cars. |

Brian Henderson is a real class guy, and his restorations are second to none. Believe it or not $225 is not out of line for a real Yenko!! I thought they were high at $100, 5-6 years ago. Wish I had bought in at that price. A ZL1 (COPO 9560) did not meet reserve at somewhere around $325 at B-J last January.

Yeah I believe that was the Reggie Jackson White 69 ZL1,I think it got to $275,000.00,Reggie wanted $325,000.00.The highest I heard a 69 Yenko Camaro going for recently was $150,000.00 ,but that was a private sale....Dan

Have to ask Dan, Why you playing like you dont know how shows/judging work. You know full well that if Brian restored a car or entered one of his own HE CAN NOT JUDGE it. No different if you were a Judge and entered a show with your car. As with the All Chevy Show 2 years ago in Seattle. If you entered a car you got the change to judge other entries but not your own. If you have a beef with Brian email him/call whatever but keep it off line or at least this board!!!
