I have a 427 tall deck out of a Brinks truck that has 80,000 miles on it and was only pulled for that reason. The engine is complete from carb to pan and balencer to flex plate. Question is, how much is it worth? I want to sell it and don't know what is a decent asking price , and I don't want to shaft anyone. Thanks guys.

Imho, the rotating assembly will probably be worth more then the block?
And what heads are on it, P/P or large ovals?? Oooop's, more than likely Vortec, L-29 jobbers since it's probably a newer motor with that few a miles on it... Sorry, not much help here..... pdq67 |

If it is complete and rebuildable.......$400 to $500 range.
I normally only use the block and crank out of a 427 tall deck......and I normally refuse to give any more than $150 for either item. On my most recent buy, I got 2 blocks and 2 cranks for a grand total of $200. Most folks don't like to fool around with the tall deck motors. |

Thanks, we were looking to get $500 out of it. It is an old motor too, just been sitting around for a long time.
