Default 69 BE rear end question

Does anyone know what the axle code should be that is the letter & number on the axle itself? I have a 69 Camaro with a BE date correct rear end, but the D/S axel is a BE and the P/S is a CK does that mean by chance the axel was replaced? if anyone has the information on the Axel codes it would be helpful. One point of intrest under the rear cover on the P/S of the pumkin area it has a SYC stamped on the center section, could that mean it was serviced at the dealer?

I am reading you post here and can't figure out what you are talking about with D/S and P/S etc. "and the P/S is a CK "??

These COPO cars were bought to race and hammer, it would be not be ususual to find out some got broken.

fyi
If you don't alreay know, sYc is a common Abrev. for Yenko Super Car

Something's fishy......never heard of Yenko stamping sYc on any components. The rear was not a Yenko-specific piece, but the BE was used on COPOs only, including the ones Yenko converted (by installing stripes and badges in 69)

BE codes were used on other rears, also....seems like an early Chevy II 10 bolt, but can't remember.

For 69 Camaro, all axle codes were on the pass side facing forward. If you have one on the driver side facing forward, that's very odd. If it is facing backward, it possible, (but highly improbable) that someone repaired a bent dirver side axle tube with one from a real BE rear.

The BE rears are clustered around only a few dates. Before you ask, I don't know the dates, but if you post your date on Yenkos.net, someone could tell you if your date is within the known clusters. maybe someone here could do the same.

Nothing fishy here, The rear houseing is stamped on the axel tube on the P/S facing forward. I was asking about the axel stamping on the wheel stud flange, I have one that has a BE stamped into the flange & one that has a CK stamped on it. When I was rebuilding the entire rear I pulled the differantial cover to my suprize it has a SYC stamp on the right side of the differantial cover mateing surface, you didn't see it until the cover was removed, as for the build date it is (BE-1206G1) as best I can tell that is the date.
