I was wondering if Anyone can decode this tag it doesn't make sense. It says its a SS,but norwood didnt start making them until october of 67. This car was built in Jan. Heres the Tag information.

Not sure about the date, but I think you are thinking of October 66 not 67. I am not sure when they started the 4P thing but it was definately before your build date so if the tag isn't a repro you ar fine IMHO. BUT the 4P in this case could mean SS350 OR an L30/M20 combo, since you also have the 2L (4 speed) code.

If you can post your engine, tranny and rear end codes and that MAY give you a better picture of which one you have. Plus I am sure the CRG guys would love to have your info for their database, and if you have a hard one to figure out, they are the guys that can help.

Uhmmmm - Norwood started making SS-350's right off the bat...
They didn't use the "Group 4" option stamping until Oct. 1966...
As your car was assembled in Jan. of 1967, they would have been using the '4P' code you listed to identify a SS-350 by then.

B: Interior body color, Blue
ST 67 12467: 67 Convertible, standard interior
NOR 74166: Norwood built - body number
TR 717Z: Blue standard buckets
C-4 Paint Ermine white (with Blue top?)

Group 2 options:
L - 4 speed with floor shifter (Muncie for SS350, Saginaw for L30/M20)
S - Rear Antenna

Group 4 options:

P - SS350 or L30/M20 when coupled with 2L option
