Default steering knuckle torque specs

Can anyone tell me what the torque specs are for the steering knuckle to
the spindle? It's a CPP disc brake conversion kit.
Also what are the torque specs on the caliper bolts (allen head)?
Thanks!

Unhappy Re: steering knuckle torque specs

Dan,

He is talking about the top spindle/caliper bolt and one of the bolt-on steering arm bolts.. Not ball-joint nuts if that is what you are thinking??

I tightened my top bolt until I crushed my left side upper rotten wisdom tooth grunting and straining my neck/jaw muscles using a 1/2" breaker bar!!

I figure something like 180/200 pounds for the top one!!

Definately NOT going to do that again!! Luckily the nerve in it died years ago so it is 100 percent painless to this day b/c I would rather take a beating then go to a Dr. or Dentist!!

BUT I gotta get it dug out onna these days!!!!!!!

PS., I'm just guessing here but will say that it was a SOB getting the top shoe bolts out!!!

sorry, yeah, I was thinking ball joints. Misunderstood that one.

"The steering arm attaching nuts" in the spec. section of the service manual are 85 ft-lbs.

not sure about the caliper bolts, but would like to know since I'm doing the disk brake conversion very soon.
