Default zl1 053 engine

Does anyone know how to tell if a o53 block is from 1969.
Was there a date cast into the block on the over the counter motors.
The one I am looking at also says SCWARTZ ENGINEERING ON A TAG, AND HAS A ZL1 STAMPED INTO THE CAM BEARING CAP. iS THIS A REAL ZL1 FROM 69.
There is no snow flake in the front of the block.
If anyone knows about this could you please call me at 847-774-2334. Thanks Paul e

That sounds like one of the *new* ZL1 blocks that GM did within the last few years or so...they're a better start on a performance engine than the original blocks...
