Just wanted to let John (and the rest of you guys) know I made it home without getting lost even ONCE!

Isn't GPS great?

Had a great time; cool cars, cool cruises, great folks.

Really looking forward to the pics.

Who's going to Hot August Nights?

I just got in. I HAD to listen to the wife. Let's go up I-1 to 101. I never rowed the gears so much in this car!! All I could think about was, Gee, It would be REAL NICE to have charlies car right now. The witch, the thrasher, don't matter. LOL Out of 9 hrs. cruising, I'll bet 6 of it was switch backs. I'm burnt.
It was nice hanging with you guy's, the cruise was cool, except charlie, he sucked. LOL
I missed someone, who was redrocker from half moon bay?
I'm fried, later.

Ok, the family went to bed a while ago so I played around with Paint Shop and did this one, www.chevelles.com/showroom/tc_wca3.jpg from the cruise... From Left to right are; Mark, Charlie, Steve, Dana, John and myself... A much better looking bunch than the Texas boys if you ask me... We got lost and Joe and his wife Sharon beat us all to the place we didn't have lunch but missed getting his picture taken!! Ed took a nap or something so his wife joined us in her gold ragtop. You should see how she was getting that car to drift through the corners

Many more TC'r showed up, here's a shot of the ones we rounded up after judging on Sat www.chevelles.com/showroom/tc_wca1.jpg From the left back row; davidpozzi, steveo camaro, onemorecamaro, clill's friend, X77D80, NWYENKO, Ed Ernst, Mrs Joe G and clill. In front from the left; me, Z28 Mark, Joe G and CJ.

There were others that showed and missed the photos, Red Rocker, CamarosRus and quikchevy. If I missed anyone I apologize!!

I want to thank John (onemore...) for making all of us welcome in his neck of the woods and for all the effort he put forth to make our gathering outstanding. Also I got to team up with John for the judging and all I can say is the man has a lot of Camaro floating around in his gray matter!!! The rest of you guys, it was great to meet you and your familys. Bench Racing and crusing was a blast and it was also great to see those of you that I have already met again!!

Charlie your cars are fantastic!! What can I say, thank your wife for letting you bring them out to play with!! www.chevelles.com/showroom/tc_wca4.jpg & www.chevelles.com/showroom/tc_wca5.jpg

Jim (NWYENKO) your Yenko was an awesome treat as well. You're about the only long hauler that hasn't posted yet. I hope your trip was smooth sailing! For the rest of you, you all have great cars and the company was great!! I hope we get the oppertunity to do it again!! I really did enjoy watching Charlie detail all his cars every morning!!

Also by chance any of the WCA/CCI folks or the Redwood Empire folks see this, thanks to you as well for the great job you did!!

Dennis... My friend in the Photo that looks like he is Waldo in a Where's Waldo Photo is Robert Lodewyk, one of the more knowledgeble Camaro people out there. I bet if you go back to Paint shop and lighten the pics it will show all of our ugly Mugs better. Me working hard on Detailing.... Sure....15 minutes and 6 cars are done. Ahh the benefits of not having a car Judged. Stevo, if your going to Reno...This time go North on I-5 and turn right when you hit Canada and go to the third light. Joe, follow Stevo. When you guys get to Canada Joe will need to use his GPS but he will need to plug it into Canadian Voltage to get the proper directions.

WAY COOL!!! I love it…. I’m in the middle of the TC collage picture. (Thanks Dennis for not putting the black finder in the picture). I had a lot of fun. You all know that Joe G. spent a bundle at the swap meet so that he could dress up his ride before judging, but I never saw the GPS unit.
Can’t wait until next year….

Valerie and I had a great weekend. It was very cool to meet many of the people from this site (especially the long haulers).

Thanks to John (onemore...) for setting up the coast cruise and being the local "in-the-know and all around good guy"!! (Valerie says you guys drive too slow!?! ).

Thanks to Charley for bringing out his cars. No small feat, but way great!! (This guy spent much time talking, should have got the "Strongest Tonsils Award"!)

Thanks to Joe G. & Rick B. for helping me with our lot of cars to judge (Joe wandered off a couple times, but never once did he get lost in the parking lot! )

Thanks to John & Mara (X77D80) for leading the drive to and from Sacramento (Steve R. followed us home with his trailered '68 SSRS
droptop and we had us a rolling car show.)

Thanks to Allan A., Joe W. & Joe C. (from CCI/WCA) for putting up with all my questions (a.k.a. interrogation).

Thanks to the Redwood Empire Classic Chevy club for putting on a truly great event.

A special thanks to RECC member Beverly. She got my vote for the "Mother Teresa Award"!!

Thanks to Korbel for giving us a special tour of the winery and opening up the race car shop for our viewing pleasurs.

Thanks to El Torito's for burning me up on the inside and to "Mr. Sunshine" for burning me up on the outside

Thanks to Dana, Jim, Dennis, Mark, David, Randy, CJ and all the significant others who came and made it a great show and a
true "family-of-Camaros" event!!

Valerie got a copy of the final points and awards tally from Joe W. @ CCI/WCA. I'll organize and post the results.

Blatant plug - If you haven't joined the WCA
yet, PLEASE consider doing so. This is the type of enthusiast organization Camaro owners need.

Hey, GPS is great! Found a great little Mexican food spot (great tacos) in Tijuana on the way back to Benicia!

Hey Stevo! You & Lynell won! I have your stuff. Nice rides everywhere.

We won??? Miracles never cease. LOL I tweaked the timing & carb when I got to my brothers place. Ran much better yesterday. Finished off the collecter gasket that was going. It's loud now. I can say this, if there was anything wrong with the trans like I thought there might be, it would have never survived yesterday. LOL
I did learn quit a few things at the show. I've decided I should spend the time to address the small details I let go on the car thinking nobody will pay attention to this or that. That it doesn't really matter. Not at one of these shows. LOL
You should of heard Lynell on the way home. "You've had that part at the shop for how long? How come you haven't put it on yet?"
I just kept shifting and throttling harder.
See ya guy's. I'm suffering from sleep depravation.

Just got home and unloaded. Spent last night in Medford,Or and drove the last 450 miles today. Really enjoyed meeting all of you guys. If anyone gets to the NW please let us know. The all Camaro show here is Aug 12th and should attract 150- 200 cars. Wish some of you guys could show up. We really enjoyed the show but not looking forward to those charge slips next month fot the fuel, rooms wine, etc. Oh well. Thanks to Charley for letting us see those famous cars!!
