Default Head Light Switch Removal (1969 Camaro)

Hello,

I know have seen this written before, but I can not find it. I am trying to remove the head light switch for the gauge panel. I can not get the knob off. I see a spring loaded button on the bottom of the switch, but I can not make it release. If I remember correctly, it does not screw off.

How do I remove the switch.

Thanks,

Phillip

Press that button and you should be able to pull that shaft out. The knob stays on the shaft. and the shaft comes out !

Pull the knob out all the way and then push the button on the switch... you may have to wiggle the knob in/out a little to get it release

Thanks for all the help. I know I tried that the other day. Last night, I pushed the button and it came right out on the first try.

Thanks.

Phillip
