Does anyone have a book that has part numbers for alternators and starters?
My auto library is not that good and I have these 2 items that I cannot find what they go to. Any help would be appreciated. The alternator number is 1100668 37A 4A28 and the starter number is 1108794 5U26 7. They are GM pieces.

Thanks,
Gary

I posted this a while back with no responses. Anyone have any ideas? Also, I have a 1108367 starter dated O 020 6. Is it safe to say that this is from a 69Z built late?

Thanks,
Gary

Your altenator, appears to be a '64, but my book only goes back to 65, so I can't give you more info on that. As for the starter #8367, My book for 68 says that it is correct for 1968 Z's, I wish I could verify it for 69 as well, but I specialize in 68's. Couln't find anything on the other starter.

I don't know if this will be of much help since I'm an Oldsmobile guy, but I have a starter with # 1108794 7C10. It is off of my 1970 Cutlass Supreme SX Convertible with a factory 7.5L 455. Here's some more info....The car is undergoing a complete frame off and so far all of the Date codes and numbers match. The alternator is 1100791 7C21. I mention this because the car was assembled in August of 1969 and the date codes for the starter and alternator appear to be much earlier (unless I am reading them wrong). If they are not original, than it's extremely odd that they would be 11 days apart.

Although I'm an Olds guy, I did help restore a numbers matching 69 COPO back in 1998. Does that give me any street cred?

Best of luck,
Dan
