Default Songs My Father Sang..

While sitting here painstakengly waiting for my Forward waring harness to come back from Ground Up Restorations, I decided to do some websurfing and ran across a very interesting site that might appeal to many of you. If you were from (or are interested in) the 60's era and the Hippie "Flower Power" movement, then here are some photos that might bring back some pretty cool memories

It is funny....most all of those pictures were in and around San Francisco...Mt Tam is just over the Golden Gate bridge....I was a baby in the 60s so I do not remember much of it .. my parents always refered to them as " Flower Children"

Definitely my era, as I was born in 1950. Brings back memories for me. The ones I can still remember.

Growing up in SF during that time, I was only a youngster myself (10 to 12)but I had an older brother and sister...I remember going to GG park free concerts, listening to the conga players at Dolores and Glen Parks, driving thru the Haight, going to "Head shops" (where drug parafinalia (sp) could be purchased). Listening to the sounds of Santana, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Country Joe and the Fish, Elvin Bishop, and Jefferson Airplane, hanging out with my brother and his friends with their cars, (when he was stuck with me )driving to Brotherhood Way and the Great Highway, watching the street races. Lots of cool cars back then, I think that is where I caught the muscle car bug! Fast and crazy times!, but I am glad they are over...Mike
