This can get a little tricky without damaging your paint. 1st use body shop masking tape, and tape off the complete area on your trunk lid that you will be working on. Then, remove the studs on the spoiler, set the spoiler into place on the deck lid and line it up. Take a crayon or marker(that won't bleede through the tape) and trace the spoilers front and rear lines. For centering, put a piece of tape in the center, then locate exact center, mark it.This next part sound dumb but it works, put on rubber gloves, and remove the felt from a felt tp marker that will fit snuggly in the stud holes on th bottom of the spoiler. Cut the felt tip into as amny pieces as you need (8 if i'm not mistaken)insert the felt into the stud holes and leave about an 1/8th of an inch sticking out. Now,gently line up the spoiler with the tracing, an center mark and set it down evenly, press gently, and liftoff sraight up. This should give you an exact location of where to drill your holes. You can double-check your mark befoe you drill,by measuring from any one stud to any other stud. you may want to number them before you measure, because when you turn the spoiler over, it is a mirror image of the marks on the deck lid. Justlike in wood shop, measure twice, cut once.I know your paint is valueable, with a little care and patience, it should come out like it was off the assembley line with it.
