Default So what do we like/dislike about it...

Okay, lets start a list. We all know they'll read this, so be honest and constructive, PLEASE.

Like: LS2, Tremec 6 sp, Profile/roof quarterpanel lines, rear panel, 69 influenced interior.

Dislike: Front Grill and "slot above it", Wide wheel well lip (the 1.5" arc above the opening) angular "caddy" styling, oversized "dubs".

Dislike: WHEELS, WHEELS, WHEELS, WHEELS, entire nose and grill, quarterpanel lines, basically the entire car. They should have taken a hint from the Ford Co. with the Mustang. As a first generation owner I was very interested in seeing how Chevy would measure up to Fords standards. Huge disappointment.
Like: The fact that Chevy is considering bringing back the Camaro.

Here's what I like about it:

Nice stance, 69 style gills, very similar to the Pro-touring logo.

Dislike:

The big plastic grill

It's a sharp car and we should be thankful that GM is even gonna bring it back. So many of us were cursing GM for pulling the Camaro to begin with, and now many of the same people are critical of its return.

Pretty much sums it up for me!

Dislike: everything

I'm sorry guys but I have read on here that alot of you like this thing. I think the GM guys just missed it. They should hire the people who designed the new Mustang or the Challenger to design the Camaro. Even the first showing of the car was wrong. The car should have been orange instead of the dull silver.

I would have liked a reproduction of a 69 but to be realistic I understand they have to make it appeal to a wide range of people with room to update it in furture years. While I don't think the grille and rear look bad this is supposed to be a CAMARO. The grille is to short, They need to make the grille look like a 69 RS with hidaway doors. The rear of the car looks like a vette, maybe some other tail lites to make it more Reto. I would have liked to see the wheel openings longer like a 69 and maybe the 69 bodyline to the middle of the door. The reto thing may not last but it is now. Also I feel the styling of the 69 RS is timeless. What other car in history has been so popular that the aftermarket is reproducing the car!!! The A/C Cobra is the only one I can think of. The production car needs to be MORE retro at first the current ideas could always be added to freshen up future years. Also I love the T/A picture it looks Great,

That's exactly what the stang and challenger are! No new lines, no new ideas. Most of us younger guys want something new and exciting, not something that's a new, "old" car. Yeah, the concept has horrible wheels, (as all concepts do), grill needs touch up, but I really like it. Flame away.
here's a few photoshops I did...

and one somebody else did.

Love the fact I have a chance to talk about a 5th generation Camaro. Love the quarter window sail panel area, very 69esque. Love the low roof line and stance of the car. Love the cowl hood. Love the interior. Like the roof panel break up, and the front upper cowl vent, I think they break up the monotony a little bit. I can live with the grill. Out of everything the rear end gives me the most problems. It seems like a very chiseled car until you get to the back . It seems a little to high, and roundish imo.

I'm impressed with the fact that it's a v-8 rwd, sleek looking 69ish influenced Ford crusher! I have to agree with the front end/grille areas needing a little work... Maybe flatten it out and sink it back a bit? Everything else works for me! Do NOT wait until the end of '08 to produce it, and make the pricing structure close to the Rustang and we'll have a winner!

Like: Stance. It has a shape that I would consider to be recognizable as a Camaro. The overall look is forward looking and not so much retro. The outside mirrors are cool. The fat tires at all 4 corners. The RWD power train (probably an insurance nightmare ). The red on the L.A. car.

Dislikes/needs improvement: The grille area needs some work, an RS style setup would be cool (preferably electric). Tires IMO should be same size at all 4 corners to aid in tire life via rotations, possibly in a more economical size (17s?). The groove in the roof: rather have it smooth and have a moon-roof. Make under the hood components that wear ACCESSIBLE. The wheels need to be shiny(Chrome, Polished etc)
Lastly the most major dislike: folks that don't understand constructive criticism

Post Re: So what do we like/dislike about it...

LIKE: The overall shape of the body, the window openings, and the fact that it is easily recognized as a Camaro.

LIKE: The idea that the Camaro is coming back.

LIKE: That GM will hear our thoughts on the design (if they listen or not) THANKS TEAM CAMARO.

DISLIKE: The front could be a little more nostalgic, and the rear tailights dont work for me at all....I think the tail lights should be a modern rendition of the 1969 year models. Right now they look like a take off from some vette.
