Its Sad But True These Cars Are Hype To Get All Our Hopes Up For A Blazing Hot Camaro. They Will Make There Modifications To This Car So It Will Not Ever Look Even Close To The Proto Type That We A Love & Want One. Gm Please Build It Like You Showed It . Because The Challenger Will Be The Only Proto To Even Come Close To To This Wild Camaro

I believe the car will be built like it was unveiled. The car as shown was ready for production except for Air Bags and EPA approvals.
I agree there will be some minor changes but overall nothing major. I don't know if the 21" and 22" tires are gong to make production and for sure the production model will not be made of fiberglass. Bud |

My 2 cents as an insider - I would guess it has a very good chance of looking a lot like it does in concept. I say this because: (and definately not because I actually know..)
> It's been through the studios- (although I don't know much about the styling status - I'm an engine guy these days - but have worked with the studios before). > Bringing back the Camaro is not something GM just dreamed up a few weeks before its unveiling !! > It appears that a lot of work was put in up front as evidenced by the appearance deemed by many as "production like" - not wild and crazy like the majority of concepts. > Lots of styling sketches > Beautifully rendered virtual photos - which means it exists entirely in math data - a time consuming and much needed item to go to production. > If the rumors regarding an '09 intro are true - there's NO WAY they're gonna make it if they have to restyle the thing first. This concept car certainly does not have the signature of a skunkswork type of project !! The engineers will likely tear the interior to shreds because nothing ever packages straight out of the studio (radios, ductwork, airbags, etc) - so don't fall in love with the interior - not yet anyways. As an engine guy I have heard - um - rumors - regarding plans for powertrains. All I can really say is that they want to keep the performance heritage alive !!! Does everyone realize that GM has in production today (ie: Z06 Corvette) a motor that would make a meaningful ZL-1 (V8, aluminum, 427 cu-in) return possible ? Would that be awesome or what ? (oh damn - I just soiled my pants - again )Finally - I must echo (and confirm) the company headline: This car is still stuck in the planning stages and production approval is not gauranteed !! (so I can only share my observations based on public info...)

I'm ready for the new Camaro! It's hard to please the majority, let alone the naysayers. I'm confident it will be made, it's just a matter of when+ how much will it change? And I agree about the original post making a fella need some advil...
