Default 4th gen brake pulse

Hello,
I am new to this site and was looking for some help. I have a 2002 Z28 convertible. The brakes are pulsing badly. It statrted at 5000 miles, ihad the rotors turned etc and it stopped until I hit around 10500 miles. I the read either in camaro performers or chevy hp that this is an inherent problem with these cars and if you replace stock parts with stock parts it will happen again. The only thing i can't remember from the article (I can't find it)is if I need to replace the rotors and pads with aftermarket parts or if I need to replace the entire brake system? Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Vibration on braking:
Steering wheel shakes - front
Car/Seat shakes - rear

Thin rotors (ie worn), over tourqued wheels, poor rear brake performance, suspension wear, hard driving can all lead to front brake issues.

I can't speak for quality issues. But I thought I'd point out other potenital issues that can cause your problem.

Definitely a rotor problem. If you had the rotors turned the first time and it fixed the problem then obviously the rotors are defective and should not go bad after only 5500 miles. I would replace both rotors with new ones and also replace the pads at the same time.

And make sure the shop uses a torque wrench to spec. Not one of those red neck air guns till they are tight.

Good one Chris.....I also try to avoid those garages where the Mechanic named Bubba has an 3/4 inch impact set to 300 ft. lbs. in one hand and a beer in the other
