all it'll really tell you is:
V8 or 6 (your's is a V8)
coupe or vert (yours is a coupe)
colors (which you know)
Build date (don't see that in your list)
and some of the people here that really pay attention can tell by the body# and vin sequence # that the tag is most likely original or correct for the car, that is the build date, body# and vin all point toward a logical set of dates.

There is no other info for a 68.

12(4)(3)7(5)(N)(357134)
4= V8 Engine
3-Coupe
5= Are you sure this is not an 8? It really should be for a 68
N= Norwood Plant where assembled
357134= This is the number of cars built at Norwood your car was number 357134st car built in 1968

Decoding 1968 Chevy Camaro Trim Tag

The trim tag is riveted to the firewall above the master cylinder. The information below is as complete as possible.

GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION
01D (A) K212**
ST 68 (B) 12437 (C) NOR (D) 80272(E) BODY
TR 716 (F) F(G) 2 (H) PAINT
BODY BY FISHER

Location A - Build Date

01-January 05 -May 09-September
02-February 06-June 10-October
03-March 07-July 11-November
04-April 08-August 12 -December
A - 1st week of month D - 4th week of month
B - 2nd week of month E - 5th week of month
C - 3rd week of month

**Los Angeles cars had a code on the first line, such as K212. It is believed to be an internal plant code for dating of production.

Location B - Model Year 1968

Location C - Body Style

12437 - Sport Coupe
12467 - Convertible
NOTE: The 3rd digit is always a "4" on the trim tag and does not denote a V8 or 6 cylinder so for that reason it can differ from the VIN on '68 Camaros.

Note: In 1968 the third digit of the body style did not denote a six or eight cylinder engine. Only the third digit of the VIN indicated the engine in 1968. All cars will show one of these two codes regardless of the engine.

Location D - Assembly Plant

NOR- Norwood (Cincinnati) Ohio
LOS - Van Nuys (Los Angeles) California

Location E - Sequential Body Number

Note: This number was assigned by Fisher Body and is not related to the VIN

Location F - Interior Trim

It is my understanding in 68 they started with 300000, so his car would be the 57,134th built wouldn't it ?
