Talking 17,s on a 2nd. gen camaro

could someone please help me ? I,m wanting to go to 17,s on my 73 camaro, anyone that could recomend a tire and wheel size combo to me would be greatly appreciated.

I ran 17x8 w/4.5 BS and 255/45-17 all the way around with no problems

My wife's 73 Camaro has: F 17X8, 4.5" bs R 17X9.5 5.5"bs. TIRES F 245/45/17 R 285/40/17

I was told 5" backspace in the front wheels would work best, but we could only get 4.5". It actually worked out best because the front wheels almost touch the front anti-roll bar as it is at full lock.
Rear wheel wells outer lip is rolled, but not agressively.
It's important to determine ride height, some cars are not very low and can handle wider rubber than a lowered car.

We have the full Hotchkis suspension.
