Another question for those in the know.
While prepping the passenger side for the inner and outer rocker replacement, we found some rusted away vertical inner partitions (seen from inside the car)that reside behind the iner rocker. We've fabbed some repair metal, but I don't know how it was originally. This is an A/C car. Is the fan inlet area of the cowl, as it drops down, open to the rockers like the driver side? If so, the fan would be drawing air from the rocker except for the rubber flapper at the rocker rear. If you lose that flapper, it would seem you'd be drawing air/water/snow in. As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

Those are just rocker reinforsement pices, the air flows the other direction from the cowl through the rockers and out the flap in the rear.

____________________________________________ So then the passenger side forward rocker area is an exact mirror image of the driver side?
